Gonda: The 37th sports competition of Vidya Bharati and Saraswati Vidya Mandir was organised at the stadium premises under the aegis of Bharatiya Shiksha Samiti Uttar Pradesh. Students from various schools participated enthusiastically in the sporting events and showcased their talent, discipline and sportsmanship.
Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal encouraged the participating athletes and said sports play an important role in the overall development of students. She said sporting activities help develop discipline, confidence, leadership skills, patience and team spirit among students.
Nagpal emphasised that promoting sports alongside education was essential. She said providing talented students with proper platforms and opportunities would enable them to showcase their abilities at the district, divisional, state and national levels. She encouraged the participants to practise regularly and remain committed to their goals.
The competition featured various events including races, long jump, high jump, shot put and javelin throw. Participants who delivered outstanding performances were encouraged and presented awards and certificates.
Office-bearers of Bharatiya Shiksha Samiti Uttar Pradesh, principals and teachers from participating schools, sports coaches, judges and a large number of students attended the event, which concluded in an enthusiastic and disciplined atmosphere.
